## Powered by a tiny sidecar app.

It passes messages to and from the game live. No reloads, no screen reading.

## Uses the AI you already have.

There's no key to paste and nothing extra to pay.

## Answers about your character.

Switch on your gear, talents, bags or anything else you want your AI to know.

## Close your tabs.

With the thott.bot MCP, anything you'd look up is already in your chat.

Your AI gets every build, hotfix and blue post as they land.

See dense data at a glance, or just keep chatting.

Every number and tooltip comes from the game's own files for the current patch.

### Can the addon get me banned?

No. The addon does nothing Blizzard's addon policy doesn't allow, and nothing reads your screen or the game's memory.

### Which AI apps does it work with?

Codex and Claude Code today. You need the Codex CLI or the Claude Code CLI installed and signed in on your computer.

### What does my AI see about my character?

Only the parts you switch on, and everything starts off. Preview in the game shows exactly what goes with your message.

### What does it cost?

The addon and its app are free and need no account. Your AI runs on your own OpenAI or Anthropic plan, the same as it does in a terminal. The thott.bot MCP is free for about 30 questions a month, and Unlimited has no monthly limit.

### How do I install it?

Unzip the download, open thott.bot chat, then type /tb in game or click the TB icon on the minimap to start a conversation.

### Why does my computer warn me the first time I open it?

The app isn’t signed by Apple or Microsoft yet. On Windows, choose More info and then Run anyway. On a Mac, allow it once in System Settings › Privacy & Security. If you have any concerns, all of its code is on [GitHub](https://github.com/thott-bot/chat).
